Gender Inclusive Housing

Gender-Inclusive Housing is an opportunity for students who are transgender, are exploring their gender identity, are non-binary, are gender non-conforming, and their allies to live together in the residence halls. These apartments, suites, and bedrooms are not publicly listed for anyone to see, including family members and other students. We keep track of GIH locations internally in order to assist students who do not yet have a housing assignment and are interested in living in a GIH location.

Rising second-year students

Second-year students can live in the South Residential Village (groups of 4 or 6) or Stephanie Tubbs Jones Hall (groups of 4). We will work with smaller groups (5 students or fewer) to match roommates. Due to a growing student population, we need to utilize every possible space we can. Information about how to form a group will be presented at upcoming GIH Information Sessions.

Rising and Current Upper-Class students

Upper-Class students can live in any of the Upper-Class Experience housing options in groups of 4 to 9 students. We will work with smaller groups (5 students or fewer) to match roommates. Due to a growing student population, we need to utilize every possible space we can. Information about how to form a group will be presented at upcoming GIH Information Sessions.

PLEASE NOTE: Smaller groups may be consolidated based on occupancy needs.
