The ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ University Farm has been a part of our university since 1937 when Andrew Squire donated his farm property to the Flora Stone Mather College for Women of Western Reserve University. This magnificent 400-acre property with unique natural and historical features provides numerous undergraduate and graduates courses in the areas of ecology, geology, civil engineering, and the arts.
Your philanthropy can be expressed in several ways, including:
- Farm Annual Fund Gifts in any amount provide unrestricted income to develop new academic and conservation initiatives as well as small facilities improvements.
- The Farm Bench Dedication Program helps update our art teaching facilities and improve our outdoor areas at the farm.
- The University Farm Endowment Fund was established in 2007 to help improve and maintain the property, which includes more than 20 structures and 400 acres of green space. Many of the farm buildings are more than 100 years old and require extensive upkeep to preserve their rich history.
- The Farm Tree Planting Dedication Program This program would allow for donors to select a tree to be planted at University Farm: Squire Valleevue Farm from among several choices to commemorate a lost loved one, to honor someone or to commemorate an occasion such as a wedding or anniversary.
Planned Giving provides a benefit to you and your family by bringing immediate and deferred tax advantages to both you and your heirs. If you would like to contribute to any of these funds, please contact us at 216.368.0274.
