University Farm

The University Farm at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ comprises two historic properties: the Squire Valleevue Farm and Valley Ridge Farm. The 400-acre property, managed by the Department of Campus Planning and Facilities Management, features forests, ravines, waterfalls, meadows, ponds, and a self-contained natural watershed.

The farm has several sites designed for classes, research, and recreational purposes.
It is open and available to all current ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ students, faculty, staff, and alumni from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, for hiking and by reservation for special event rentals, Monday through Saturday.

Our annual reports provide additional information on usage figures, finances and farm operations.

Mission

The goal of the University Farm is to enhance and complement the university's mission of education, research and community service through its unique natural settings, history and cultural features. The farm also supports and enhances additional university community activities, including athletics and recreational events.
