The African American Alumni Association invites you to join us virtually for our Profiles of Excellence Speaker Series. This event features in-depth conversations with faculty and staff from across campus, highlighting their work and research. Sam Senyo is an associate professor in biomedical engineering at Ðǿմ«Ã½. After growing up in Virginia, he graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in biomedical engineering. He then attended and graduated with a doctoral degree in bioengineering from the University of Illinois Chicago. Senyo then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Brigham and Women's Medical Hospital in Boston. Throughout his training, Senyo applied advanced technology to study cardiac biology and disease. The Senyo Lab is currently investigating novel strategies for cardiac tissue engineering towards heart regeneration.
