David Elliott
Manager, ERP Financials
David is one of the managers in the ERP Financials Group. He has been employed at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ since 1999 and with the finance group since 2007. His primary responsibility is the coordination of technical efforts and project management with the PeopleSoft Financials, EPM Budgeting and HCM for the payroll office. David co-instructs ABCs of Financials at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.
Robin Trail
Associate Director, Sponsored Projects Administration
Robin is an associate director in the Office of Sponsored Projects Administration. She has more than 25 years of experience working in the accounting field at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½. Robin began her career in the university’s Grants Accounting Department (presently known as Post-Award Administration). She oversees the unit that monitors all post-award activities, such as financial reporting, journal reviews, salary adjustments and closeouts. Robin instructs Sponsored Projects Accounting: Project Monitoring and Sponsored Projects Accounting: Project Closeout.
Jessica Calvin
Accountant, General Accounting
Jessica has served as an accountant in the General Accounting Department of the Controller’s Office since May 2011. Prior to working at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, she was an external auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she was a team leader on the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, Kent State University, University of Akron and Cleveland State University financial statement and A-133 audits. Jessica co-instructs ABCs of Financials at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.
Jing Li
Manager, ERP Financials
Jing has worked at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ since 2009. She has more than 13 years of PeopleSoft Financials experience with Higher Education and a Masters of Business Administration in Accounting. While her PeopleSoft expertise spans across all financial modules, she specializes in General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Asset Management, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Enterprise Performance Management. In her current position, she maintains and supports the PeopleSoft Financials system. She works closely with ERP financial users across the campus, technical experts in UTech and PeopleSoft project teams. Jing instructs Financial Online Inquiries.
Lisa Board-McShepard
Training Analyst, Department of Human Resources
Lisa Board-McShepard began her career at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ in 2008 as a department assistant in the Law School supporting seven professors, including a former law school dean. In 2010, she transitioned into the role of benefits accounting clerk, serving the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ benefits-eligible community. In 2013, she was promoted to the role of training analyst in the Organizational Development and Learning Unit of the Department of Human Resources.
Lisa earned her Masters of Business Administration degree from the Weatherhead School of Management, concentrating in Organizational Behavior. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Akron, minoring in Business. Lisa is a certified mediator for the State of Ohio; this certification was granted through The Supreme Court of Ohio, where she worked in the Dispute Resolution Section prior to relocating to Cleveland. Lisa instructs Effective Interpersonal Communication.
Michael Kurutz
Manager, Travel Services
Michael worked at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ since January 2009. His responsibilities include administration of the American Express Travel and Expense Credit Card program, PeopleSoft Travel and Expense module, preferred travel agency and vendor programs, and travel policy. He has lived, worked, and traveled in 49 states and 26 countries. Michael instructs All Things Travel.
