SIS (Student Information System)
The Student Information System, more commonly known as the SIS, is the system of record for student information and the university course catalog. Students use the SIS to register for classes, view grades, view their progress towards graduation, and for other important business. Faculty use the SIS to see their teaching schedules and class rosters, submit final grades, access important academic information on advisees, and to perform other essential functions of course administration.
Access
All enrolled students have access to the SIS. New, incoming students receive access when they have matriculated.
All faculty have access to the SIS. New faculty members receive access once they are assigned to a class in the SIS. Questions about access for faculty should be directed to reghelp@case.edu.
Staff who support students, faculty, or academic administration may request access to the SIS by filling out the Security Form. Training may be required in order to receive access (see below). Most access requests do not require training.
Training
Training is required in order for staff or faculty to obtain access to the Schedule of Classes module, Admissions module, and certain Enrollment module screens. Schedule of Classes training is held in a classroom format three times per year, or as needed. All other training on the SIS is offered by request. Before requesting training, please fill out the Security Form.
