Timothy is a Research Scientist in the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences and the Mary Ann Swetland Center for Environmental Health. He aims to facilitate the integration of diverse information and help the team to address the fundamental drivers of environmental disease in our communities. He has a doctorate in Environmental Health from the Harvard School of Public Health (Sc.D. from the Exposure, Epidemiology, and Risk Program), as well as an M.D. and M.P.H. from the University of Virginia. More recently Tim worked in the Institute for Quantitative Biomedical Sciences at Dartmouth, and then held a position on the public health faculty at Regis College, before joining the Ronin Institute and ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.
Tim has used a variety of epidemiologic and transdisciplinary approaches to study perinatal, neurocognitive, and chronic health problems. Adverse outcomes in these areas have massive public health consequences and the long term goal is to ameliorate modifiable causal factors within the contexts defined by non-modifiable factors. This work requires the coordination of information from many sources and has led to efforts in transdisciplinary communication, diverse evidence integration, and planetary health.
