We are excited to welcome Anvitha Ravipati to our team! Anvitha is joining us as a Graduate Research Assistant, and you can read more about her in the interview below.

  • What projects will you be working on, and what is your role?

I will be working on the Nourishing Power Network and the REACH Project. As a Graduate Research Assistant, I will help with literature review, qualitative data collection, conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and coordinate interviews with research participants. I will also travel to local farmers markets this summer for outreach events to promote the Produce Path application.

  • Where are you from?

Andhra Pradesh, India

  • What is your background?

I earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Hyderabad, and a PG Diploma in Rural Development and Management from the National Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj. I am interested in studying agroecological farming practices across the globe, with a particular emphasis on India. In my spare time, I like playing volleyball, swimming or relaxing at home.

  • What excites you about joining the Swetland Center?

 Being able to get involved in food justice initiatives from the grassroots.

  • What is your favorite outdoor space in Cleveland or a place you want to explore?

Cuyahoga Valley National Park
