- Where are you from?
I grew up in Columbus Ohio, but I was born in Senegal on the west coast of Africa.
- What is your background in?
I have my B.S in Biology, from The Ohio State University. I am currently working on my M.S in Applied Anatomy at ǿմý school of Medicine. After graduating I’m hoping to attend medical school to become a physician and work with medically underserved communities.
- What excites you about joining the Swetland Center?
I’m excited about the findings, the long-term solutions, and the new policies that are going to bring about change in the communities through the research that is done at the Swetland center.
- What is your favorite outdoor space in Cleveland or a place you want to explore?
I was never an outdoor person, but Cleveland is changing all of that. Moving to Cleveland gave me a new hobby, and that is watching the days turn into nights at Euclid beach park. Cold or warm I found myself a lot at Euclid beach park, watching the beautiful sunset and taking many pictures and videos that will just fill up my phone space, but I enjoy it so much. It gives me more reasons to be outside, it inspires me, and it more importantly it allows me to relax and clear my mind of all that is going on outside of that instance.
- What is a piece of advice you have been given or quote/statement that is significant to you?
“Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.” Will Rogers
