Postdoctoral Scholar
We are looking for a community-engaged, food systems, and health equity-oriented researcher to join our team to make important contributions to the novel Nourishing Neighborhoods Empowering Communities Network, a multi-component systems-level intervention aimed at incubating and catalyzing community-driven food systems change to advance nutrition equity (i.e., the extent to which the local food system promotes freedom, agency, and dignity in food traditions resulting in holistic health for people and communities). In addition to carrying out research within a highly collaborative team-based research environment, substantive support will be available for professional development, grant seeking, dissemination of research to diverse audiences, student mentorship, and community collaboration. Community Nutrition Research Associate
The Research Associate will execute community and stakeholder-engaged research focused on the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based policy, systems, and environmental interventions designed to promote community nutrition in diverse settings. Under the guidance of the Center Director, the Research Associate will be expected to work independently, design and plan research projects, oversee collaborations, supervise students, manage collaborative research partnerships, and carry out research activities of multiple state-wide and national-level community nutrition studies, including the Building Capacity for Obesity Prevention Study, Ohio Produce Perks Evaluation, and national nutrition incentive program evaluation capacity building. Research Scientist
Our center has a Research Scientist position available within the Food Systems and Health Equity portfolio of the center. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible research experience including statistical analysis, qualitative analysis, geospatial analysis, and data management experience required preferably in the area of population health, epidemiology, or community development. Healing Communities Study Graduate Research Assistantship
We are seeking a graduate student to assist with support for research activities within the Ohio HEALing Communities Study. This study is a randomized controlled community trial that seeks to reduce opioid fatalities in 18 counties in Ohio through implementation research to increase delivery of evidence-based interventions such as naloxone distribution, medically assisted treatment, safer prescribing and stigma reduction. All intervention packages will be tailored at the county level based on extensive engagement with local community coalitions and through examination of local opioid use disorder data trends. The graduate research assistant will be working with investigators and the Senior Project Director to support data collection, scientific literature reviews, protocol refinement, and training coordination.
