Announcing the Showcase of Opportunities

2021 food systems change showcase flier

Join us virtually as the 2021 Food Systems Change Fellows share their visions for change at the Showcase of Opportunities on July 28, 2021.

The Modeling the Future of Food in Your Neighborhood Study (foodNEST 2.0) works to develop tools and strategies that can make the food system in the City of Cleveland more equitable. As part of foodNEST 2.0, the Food Systems Change Fellowship launched in early 2021 and serves as a “test kitchen” for incubating ideas related to potential leverage points identified in the Menu of Actions. The Fellowship provides support for local leaders to develop and validate their ideas while growing partnerships essential for bringing an idea to life. The 2021 Food Systems Change Fellowship will culminate in the Showcase of Opportunities on July 28, 2021.

The Showcase of Opportunities will consist of all five Fellows “pitching” their visions for food systems change and will include feedback from four Reviewers. Then, all attendees will have the opportunity to join small group sponsorship meetings to learn more about how to support the Fellows’ visions through time, talent, and/or treasure.

The Food Systems Change Fellowship is a project of the Modeling the Future of Food in Your Neighborhood Study at the Mary Ann Swetland Center for Environmental Health. The project is supported by grants from the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, National Dairy Council, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland, Saint Luke’s Foundation, and Stephen J. McHale Family Foundation.
