The ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Annual Energy Contest is happening right now! It started on Halloween (October 31) and will run through Sunday, November 18 at 11:59. The winning building will get a solar-powered charging picnic table installed outside!

As of October 6, Sherman, first-year res hall on Northside, is in the lead with a nearly 7% reduction! Storrs is coming up in second with a 5.43% energy consumption reduction and Phi Kappa Psi/ Delta Upsilon is in third with 4.13. Congrats! See all rankings and reductions below.

We do need to call out the buildings that have used more energy during the contest! You can do better, Peirce, Tapplin, Phi Delta Theta, Phi Sigma Rho, Glaser, Raymond, House 4, Staley, Zeta Psi, and House 3 & 3A! 

Do your best to use less energy over the next week and encourage those in your building to do the same. 

Take the stairs instead of the elevator, turn off lights when not in use (even in the common rooms!), wash clothes in cold water, unplug devices like chargers, game systems, computers, microwaves to cut down on scary "vampire loads." Good luck!
