Major and research focus:
As a Neuroscience and Chemistry student, Reda Riffi is interested in molecular mechanisms underlying neural development and neurodegeneration, a main topic of his research. Outside the Lab, Reda is interested in the differences between the populations of the world, the concept of world peace, and diversity, but also public health and education.

Reda is funded by SOURCE, Provost Summer Undergraduate Research Grant (PSURG), Case Alumni Association, and The College of Arts and Sciences.
Biggest learning moment while doing research:
Reda has rapidly developed skills at the bench as a molecular biologist, demonstrating both good thinking and a striking ability to evaluate the results.

Reda plans to focus on neuroscience, both biological and clinical research while working toward improving healthcare, nutrition, and education.
