List of Diversity/Inclusion Campus Resources
The work of diversity/inclusion is far too big to be accomplished by one office, and across ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, the task is shared by many departments/offices. Participation in many of these groups can be done on-campus and remotely.

Alianza Latina/Latino Alliance | We bring together Hispanic/Latino faculty and staff members from across the campus for cultural awareness, friendship, student recruitment and retention and public service. All, regardless of race or ethnicity, are invited to join the group. |
Black Faculty & Staff Resource Group | Our group will connect and engage faculty and staff in creating a more welcoming and inclusive campus environment for all. Additionally, the group will support retention and actively engage in promoting an inclusive environment enabling employees to contribute fully to the university’s success. |
Center for International Affairs | We provide leadership, expertise, and support to the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ community, inspiring, cultivating, and promoting a dynamic international presence and a culture of global understanding, responsibility, and citizenship. |
Committee on Minority Affairs, Faculty Senate | The Committee shall act in an oversight and advisory capacity and shall monitor matters concerning minority affairs by bringing suggestions and strategic plans to the Faculty Senate about teaching, research, and the quality of academic life at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ so that all minorities will feel this university is a powerful place to live, work, learn, and teach. |
Committee on Women Faculty, Faculty Senate | We participate in the initiation and formulation of university policies and procedures bearing on recruitment, retention, promotion, compensation, and quality of life of women faculty; monitor issues bearing on these matters; and make recommendations to the Faculty Senate as to desirable changes in these policies and procedures. |
Community Concerns Reporting System (CCRS) | The goal of the CCRS is to help educate and promote an inclusive community by supporting students through a clear and streamlined process for reporting incidents of perceived mistreatment, cultural/ethnic insensitivity, and bias. |
Comprised primarily of doctoral students in psychology who work to welcome, embrace, and promote the diversity of human experiences and cultural and individual differences. | |
Departmental Diversity Seminar Series | We provide STEM and STEM-relevant academic departments across the university the opportunity to seek funding support to invite scientists from racial, ethnic, or gender groups underrepresented in their STEM discipline to campus to give talks using the department’s existing seminar infrastructure. |

This committee serves to seek, advocate for, and resolve concerns of marginalized students and promote an inclusive campus. | |
Diversity Executive Advisory Council (DEAC) | To help realize campus-wide diversity goals, diversity liaisons have been appointed in each school/college to serve on this council and work collaboratively with the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Engagement. |
Division of Student Affairs | We are here to help you find what you need as a student, from coursework assistance to crisis support. But we also want to ensure you flourish during your time here, through service opportunities in our community, leadership opportunities, resources for health, wellness and personal identity, and so much more. |
Division of Student Affairs Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee | We work to 1) understand the needs of diverse and marginalized student populations and create both educational opportunities for professional staff to learn, as well as provide recommendations for divisional strategies and programs for student support. 2) Enhance current DoSA processes and policies with an eye toward diversity, inclusion, equity. And 3) Provide the division with access to awareness, knowledge, and skills focusing on DEI frameworks. |
English Language Support | English language resources are available for students to practice pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary and other spoken English skills. |
This is an interdisciplinary program which develops fundamental skills in critical and global thinking and in comparative analysis, as well as in understanding the interactions of race, class, gender, and sexuality in the experiences of a range of social groups. It is designed to bring together a community of students, faculty and staff devoted to the transmission of knowledge and the discovery of new ideas in the field. Ethnic Studies also offers diverse perspectives that challenge monolithic thinking about the formation of identities and societies. | |

For a Better ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ – Student-led Taskforce | An advisory group, comprised of undergraduate and graduate students that works with the Dean of Students office to monitor progress and give input on initiatives outlined in the seven proposals. |
The Interreligious Council (IRC) | We offer a collaborative community where every student, staff, and faculty feels encouraged to explore their spirituality, faith traditions, and/or religious identity. The IRC members are here to speak with you about how to find peace and focus to pursue your studies and life goals with success and happiness. |
LGBT Center | We exemplify ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½â€™s commitment to serving its diverse students, staff, faculty, and alumni. We educate the campus community about the complexities of human sexuality, gender, and relationships through authentic dialogue. |
Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusive Engagement (ODEIE) | The office supports the university’s mission by providing strategic leadership in the development of policies, procedures and programs that will help foster diversity, inclusiveness and a welcoming environment for faculty, staff, students and others. |

Office of Education Abroad | We support the mission of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ by cultivating a culture of global understanding, responsibility and citizenship through accessible, high-quality courses and learning experiences abroad. |
Office of Equity | We support members of the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ community seeking support for experiences with discrimination or harassment, including sexual harassment. We also provide ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ community members with pregnancy and parenting accommodations, and religious accommodations. We are here to help members of our ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ community decide the next steps that are right for them during critical moments. Equity connects students and others with the confidential and non-confidential resources they need. |
Office of International Student Resources & Engagement (OISRE) | We help to provide resources to support international students’ transition to and engagement at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½. The office collaborates with other university departments and external partners to enhance international students’ experiences at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ and to support the ongoing promotion of global citizenship. |
Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) | We work to develop an inclusive ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ community, one that supports all students, respects and celebrates their identities, and facilitates their success. |
President’s Advisory Council on Minorities (PACM) | We are charged with advising the president and the provost on diversity issues; assessing current university policies; developing strategic action plans; and suggesting programs and policies to help realize racial inclusion on campus, promote cultural sensitivity, and build a broadly diverse community university-wide. Additionally, we work to promote information sharing and encourage cooperation among the various university offices and programs engaged in diversity efforts on campus. |
Social Justice Institute | We strive to create a just world. We examine the root causes of social injustice and develop innovative solutions by supporting creative research, scholarship, and pedagogy; social justice leaders on and off campus; and relationships within the university and into the community. We work to eradicate all systems of oppression by redistributing and expanding resources and opportunities while exalting human dignity. |
Sustained Dialogue Program | The program’s mission is to engage members of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ in dialogues that cultivate strong, trusting relationships and foster respect for each individual and their ability to contribute to positive change. |
Visa & Immigration Services & Advisors (VISA) Office | Our mission is to enhance the international experience and promote intercultural exchange at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ for students, faculty, staff, scholars, and visitors. This office also works closely with other administrative and academic departments. |
This is an interdisciplinary program that prepares students to think critically and creatively by employing gender as a primary category of analysis. The program is set up to examine a variety of issues of specific interest to women and of general interest to scholars of gender studies across a variety of diverse cultural and historical settings. |
