Student Organization Travel

ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ students in Malawi on Engineers without Borders engineering trip
Sydney Mountcastle, Engineers without Borders

The Office of Education Abroad is the hub for all university-affiliated international travel. In addition to providing traditional study abroad opportunities for students, our Office also supports co-curricular travel by student organizations, such as ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ athletic teams, student organizations, and individualized academic travel.

Any student who engages in university-related international travel, whether academic or co-curricular, is required to register through the Office of Education Abroad and to complete health, safety, and risk management education in order to be in compliance with ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½â€™s International Travel Risk Management Policy.

Faculty and staff who support students traveling abroad, either individually or in groups under five, should direct students to the  registration portal.

Staff and faculty who support students traveling abroad in groups of five or greater for co-curricular opportunities not for academic credit should contact the Office of Education Abroad at studyabroad@case.edu to discuss program logistics and risk management at least six weeks in advance of departure. Our Office will work closely with staff and faculty advisors to create a travel registration application in order to ensure compliance with university policy.

Faculty and staff who support students traveling abroad for academic credit on traditional faculty-led study abroad programs, should refer to the Faculty-Led Study Abroad Programs page. Credit-bearing programs that do not require the marketing or recruiting resources of the Office of Education for a predetermined group of students should complete the Predetermined Roster form at least six weeks in advance of departure. Reach out to Valerie Rambin, Assistant Director of Education Abroad, with questions about credit-bearing faculty-led and faculty-designed programs.
