Dr. Rachel Goode

Dr. Rachel W. Goode, Asst. Professor, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Her research interests include developing, implementing, and evaluating equitable and community-engaged interventions to treat obesity and eating disorders.

She will discuss eating disorders in Black and Brown young women, from increased risk of binge-eating disorder to lack of access to diagnosis and treatment and cultural aspects that impact care.  She will also share work on how the pandemic has increased disparities in care.  Via Zoom

 

Dr. Kelly Bhatnagar

Dr. Goode will be joined by our discussant, Dr. Kelly Bhatnagar, Ph.D., FAED, Co-Founder and Clinical Psychologist, Center for Emotional Wellness, Adjunct Assistant Professor, ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½; and President, Academy for Eating Disorders who will share her experience treating black and brown youth for eating disorders in our local community.
