The Neuro-X Institute is soliciting applications for
two faculty positions at the level of tenure track
Assistant Professor in Brain-Computer
Interfaces and Neural Engineering.
We seek candidates with research experience in
neurotechnology, leveraging basic science
knowledge and engineering principles to design
the next generation of neural interface

bidirectionally communicate with the nervous
system. Applicants are invited with a focus on at
least one of the following areas: (i) Neural signal
processing and machine learning, (ii) Implantable
technologies, (iii) Micro/nanotechnology of neurotransducers.
The new faculty hires will lead
research programs employing experimental
and/or computational methods, with the intention
to translate innovation into clinical practice.
The EPFL fosters interdisciplinary research and is
committed to leading technological advances and
translating innovation towards new interventions
and therapies. We anticipate the two new faculty
members will be able to build scientific
collaborations within the newly-formed Neuro-X
institute, STI institutes, the EPFL Center for
Intelligent Systems, the EPFL School of Life
Sciences, the EPFL School of Computer and
Communication Sciences, and with partner
hospitals along the Lemanic Arc.
Besides an outstanding research record, the
candidates should demonstrate a strong
commitment to excellence in teaching at the
undergraduate and graduate levels.
Internationally competitive salaries, start-up
