This semester, first year students doing Experiential Learning went outside of the classroom and into the Cleveland community. They performed health screenings at various places throughout the city, presented on health education topics at local shelters, collaborated with nursing students to perform height/weight/vision screenings, and worked with community organizations to connect area residents with educational and career resources. First and second year students also completed community service, which includes but is not limited to providing help at a local food bank, setting up at a local farmer’s market, and presenting on health education topics elsewhere in the community. ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ PA students value investing into their community and plan to use their knowledge and skills to improve the lives of others.
