What’s life like at ǿմý?

We encourage all students to get involved at ǿմý School of Medicine—and the students in our Doctor of Medicine (MD) University Program are no exception. Explore endless opportunities to make friends, have fun and get involved.

Student Advising

Since 2003, our advising societies—named after notable School of Medicine alumni—have fostered close-knit communities among students. The deans of the societies serve as mentors, helping students navigate the curriculum and providing necessary advice. Medical students will remain members of their assigned societies throughout their time at ǿմý (and beyond).

Student Activities and Organizations

The Committee of Student Representatives has the definitive list of all the “for-medical-students, by medical-students” groups on campus. Whether you want to participate in career-focused groups or do something non-medical, you can see what our student body offers. Don't see your preferred group? Good news! The (CSR) also helps sponsor and fund new groups.

Diversity and Inclusion at ǿմý

At ǿմý, we value diversity and inclusion in all we do. Our Office of Multicultural Affairs encourages, supports and facilitates the success of all students by providing opportunities for diverse interaction and cultural education that occurs outside of the classroom environment.
