Dr. Basch, a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, received his degree of Licenciado en Ciencias Biológicas from the .
He earned his doctorate in 2004 working on Early Neural Crest Specification, Induction and Competence in at the . He started his postdoctoral training in the laboratories of and Dr. Andrew Groves at House Ear Institute in Los Angeles, and later become an instructor in at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Basch joined the in May 2015.
My primary research is in development and regeneration of the inner ear, including molecular causes of congenital deafness, stria vascularis, and neural crest contributions to the inner ear.
