Additional Information

    Dr. Korman joined the department of dermatology in 1990, and serves as director of the Regional Center for Immunobullous Disease, Skin Immunopathology Laboratory, UH Dermatology Clinical Trials Unit, and Translational Research Core at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½â€™s Skin Disease Research Center. He holds and MD and PhD, both from ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, and completed his internship and residency at University Hospitals as well as a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Korman has been recognized by U.S. News and World Report as a Best Doctor consecutively spanning back to 2011, and  has received several other honors and awards throughout his career.
    Dr. Korman’s clinical expertise is in complex medical dermatology including autoimmune blistering diseases, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. He is also heavily focused on clinical research, and has been involved in studies of psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, alopecia areata and hidradenitis suppuritiva among others.. He has more than 25 years of experience in clinical research and has performed more than  100 phase 1 – 4 psoriasis clinical trials including trials of all of the major biologics agents that have been approved for psoriasis as well as being a co-investigator in several translational mechanism of action studies in patients with psoriasis.
