I am a recent graduate who recently joined the Division of Breast Imaging in the Department of Radiology at University Hospitals as an Assistant professor of Radiology at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½. My research is focused on harnessing technology and health services research to improve patient access to high-value breast imaging services and patient safety in radiology.
In my journey through medical training, postdoctoral research, and graduate medical training, I have cultivated a deep-rooted commitment to advancing imaging through research, innovation, and a focus on health services research and improving patient access and safety. My academic training and research background have provided me with a strong foundation in research methodology and secondary data analysis. Although my primary focus during residency and fellowship training was acquiring clinical expertise in radiology and breast imaging, I remained actively engaged in numerous research projects within radiology and health services research. I have also maintained active involvement in various radiology organizations and have been honored with multiple academic and professional service awards.
I am particularly enthusiastic about my ongoing and recent projects on developing and using artificial intelligence in breast cancer imaging-based risk assessment and opportunistic use of breast cancer screening in evaluating cardiovascular risk.
My long-term research and academic goals involve establishing an independently funded research program dedicated to creating high-value, accessible imaging-based tools and techniques for breast cancer screening and treatment response assessment. I strive to build collaboration with my clinician-scientists and expert colleagues working on breast cancer at Case Comprehensive Cancer Center.
