Biosafety Cabinet Certification
The importance of proper certification cannot be emphasized enough since persons who manipulate infectious microorganisms are at increased risk of acquiring an occupational illness when their BSCs are functioning improperly.

Why do I have to certify my biosafety cabinet?
- The biosafety cabinet (BSC) is an important engineering control to protect the researcher and maintain a sterile environment. Certification is needed to ensure proper functioning and is required at installation, any time the BSC is moved as well as annually. (CDC's BMBL, 6th Edition)
How do I go about getting my hood certified/recertified?
