Notice to Re-Applicants
All re-applicants must pay the $145 fee and submit a new PASS Application.

Eligibility and requirements for resident selection:
The deadline for receiving applications is September 15. Applications must be submitted thru PASS to the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ School of Dental Medicine- Department of Periodontics. 
The following documents are required to be submitted with the Application thru PASS:
•    3 letters of recommendation 
•    A letter of intent
•    The equivalent of a DMD or DDS degree must have been obtained prior to the starting date of the program, and generally a minimum 3.0 grade-point average is required.

The selection of periodontics residents is the ultimate responsibility of the Periodontics Graduate Program Director. After the application deadline, applications are reviewed by the Program Director. From the pool of applicants, the strongest candidates will be selected and contacted for formal interviews. The applicants will be interviewed by graduate periodontics faculty members and informally meet the periodontics residents.

We recommend that applicants to all our graduate programs take the Integrated National Board Dental Exam (INBDE). Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) scores are also considered.

All materials should be sent to PASS. No materials will be accepted in the Office of Graduate Studies.

Early applications are recommended. Incomplete applications will not be sent to the program director for review.

Additional Requirements for International Students
Applicants who have graduated from a non-English speaking dental school and for whom English is not their first language must take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). We do accept a score reported from IELTS in lieu of a TOEFL score. In order to be admitted, the applicant must score above 90 in the TOEFL IBT (Internet-Based Test),The TOEFL identification number for ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ is: 1105, The Department code for the School of Dental Medicine is: 38

There is no financial aid given to international students enrolled in the M.S.D. programs. A letter of "proof of support" must be submitted when a student is accepted into a program. Applicants must establish that they have available financial resources sufficient to complete the program uninterrupted. All on-campus work-study employment for international students must be cleared by the individual program director and the University Office of International Students.
