Client/End User Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Clients/End Users of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ SoDM IT Resources 

ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ SODM IT Clients/End Users are responsible for:

  1. Reading and understanding these policies.
  2. Reporting problems in a timely manner.
  3. Checking assigned ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ email on a daily basis.
  4. Maintaining assigned ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ password and its security. Not sharing passwords and securing their computer/network credentials
  5. Locking and/or logging off workstation(s) when not in use.
  6. Connecting school-owned laptops to the physical campus wired network at least once a month so that important updates and/or policy changes can be installed.
  7. Their own data, including making sure important data is backed up, and removing old or redundant material from ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ SODM network drives. Network drives are physically redundant, are backed up nightly, and those backups are kept for 3 months.
  8. Violation of policies will be reported to the Associate Dean of Clinical Operations who will consider what action should be taken. 

Dental School Departments are responsible for: 

 Departments are responsible for ensuring that their staff are properly trained on their systems.
