Responsibilities of the Clients/End Users of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ SoDM IT Resources
ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ SODM IT Clients/End Users are responsible for:
- Reading and understanding these policies.
- Reporting problems in a timely manner.
- Checking assigned ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ email on a daily basis.
- Maintaining assigned ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ password and its security. Not sharing passwords and securing their computer/network credentials
- Locking and/or logging off workstation(s) when not in use.
- Connecting school-owned laptops to the physical campus wired network at least once a month so that important updates and/or policy changes can be installed.
- Their own data, including making sure important data is backed up, and removing old or redundant material from ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ SODM network drives. Network drives are physically redundant, are backed up nightly, and those backups are kept for 3 months.
- Violation of policies will be reported to the Associate Dean of Clinical Operations who will consider what action should be taken.
Dental School Departments are responsible for:
Departments are responsible for ensuring that their staff are properly trained on their systems.
