Research Interests
Adam work aims to provide an integrated view of language by incorporating multiple levels of analysis including the computational level (what are the adaptive functions of language?), the algorithmic level (what are the rules and representations involved in language?), and the implementational level (what are the biological systems involved in realizing language in humans?). Adam also has scholarly interests in music, martial arts, and psychological well-being. A native of Southern California, Adam previously taught cognitive science at UC Merced and UC Berkeley.
