Abstract: Might computational models of text generation and translation based on probability, prediction, and proximity suggest new terms for understanding human cognition and creativity? For example, might creative poetics be understood in some respects as probability-based prediction from implicit lists of next-states? What other factors might a critically reflective dialogue between human linguistic creativity and machine creativity illuminate with regard to linguistic creativity and generativity?"
