Dr. Nadya Zhexembayeva is a business owner, educator, speaker and author––specializing in reinvention.

As a business owner, Nadya oversees a group of companies active in real estate, investment and consulting. As a consultant, Nadya has helped such organizations as The Coca-Cola Company, ENRC PLC, IBM, CISCO, Erste Bank, Henkel, Knauf Insulation, Vienna Insurance Group and many others to reinvent their products, processes and leadership practices.

As an educator, Nadya personally contributed to the development of nearly 5,000 executives from over 60 countries and 20 industries teaching and developing via small group executive education sessions, custom-made seminars, and long-term corporate reinvention projects.

She served as the Coca-Cola Chaired Professor of Sustainable Development at IEDC- Bled School of Management, an executive education center based in the Slovene Alps, where she continues to teach courses in leadership, strategy, change management, design thinking, and sustainability. In addition to IEDC, Nadya has taught in other business schools, including CEDEP-INSEAD (France), �ǿմ�ý (USA), and IPADE Business School (Mexico).

As a speaker, Nadya has shared her insights with audiences worldwide through keynotes, panel presentations, and workshops. She has delivered three TEDx talks in Austria, Slovenia and the US. Over 100,000+ professionals have seen Nadya speak publicly.

As an author, Nadya has written four books (“Embedded Sustainability: The Next Big Competitive Advantage” in 2011, “Overfished Ocean Strategy: Powering Up Innovation for a Resource-Deprived World” in 2014, "Titanic Syndrome: Why Companies Fail and How To Reinvent Your Way Out of Any Business Disaster" in 2018, and "The Chief Reinvention Officer Handbook: How to Thrive in Chaos in 2020) and contributed to six others, including David Cooperrider's latest volume, "The Business of Building a Better World" in 2021. In an effort to reinvent corporate approaches to sustainability strategy, Nadya and her co-author Chris Laszlo coined the concept ‘embedded sustainability’, which was virtually non-existent when they started in 2009. Today, it produces 25+ million Google search results and has become a staple for corporate sustainability efforts.

Nadya received her BA in management and BA in psychology from Hartwick College and her PhD in Organizational Behavior from �ǿմ�ý.

A daughter of Kazakhstan, Nadya and her family split their life between the U.S. and Eurasia.

David L. Cooperrider, PhD, holds the Fairmount Santrol - David L. Cooperrider Professorship in Appreciative Inquiry at the Weatherhead School of Management, �ǿմ�ý, where he is the faculty founder of the Fowler Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit. Cooperrider is best known for his original theoretical articulation of "AI" or Appreciative Inquiry with his mentor Suresh Srivastva. Today AI's approach to strengths-inspired instead of problematizing change is being practiced everywhere: the corporate world, the world of public service, of economics, of education, of faith, of philanthropy, and social science scholarship—it is affecting them all. Jane Nelson, at Harvard's Kennedy School of Leadership recently wrote, "David Cooperrider is one of the outstanding scholar-practitioners of our generation."

Cooperrider has served as advisor to prominent leaders in business and society, including projects with five Presidents and/or Nobel Laureates such as William Jefferson Clinton, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Kofi Annan, and Jimmy Carter. David advises a wide variety of corporations including Apple, Johnson & Johnson, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Verizon, Hunter Douglas, Cleveland Clinic, National Grid, The J.M. Smucker Company, Clarke, Fairmount Minerals, McKinsey, Parker, Dealer Tire, and Wal-Mart as well as the Navy, Red Cross, United Way of America, and the United Nations. Cooperrider is also a founding Board Member of the Taos Institute and the International Association of Positive Psychology.

Cooperrider has published 25 books and authored over 100 articles and book chapters. He has served as editor of both the JOURNAL OF CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP with Ron Fry and the current academic research four-volume series on ADVANCES FOR APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY, with Michel Avital. In 2010 David was honored with the Peter F. Drucker Distinguished Fellow award. David's books include APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY: A POSITIVE REVOLUTION IN CHANGE (with Diana Whitney); THE ORGANIZATION DIMENSIONS OF GLOBAL CHANGE (with Jane Dutton); ORGANIZATIONAL COURAGE AND EXECUTIVE WISDOM (with Suresh Srivastva); and THE STRENGTHS-BASED LEADERSHIP HANDBOOK (with Brun & Ejsing.) Cooperrider's work has received many awards including Distinguished Contribution to Workplace Learning by ASTD; the Porter Award for best writing in the field of Organization Development and the Aspen Institute Faculty Pioneer Award. In 2016 he was named as one of the nation's top thought leaders by Trust Across America and honored as one of AACSB's "Most Influential Leaders."

In the highest recognition, Champlain College's Stiller School of Business honored Cooperrider's impact with an academic center in his name. Opened in 2014 it is called the David L. Cooperrider Center for Appreciative Inquiry, and Cooperrider serves as its Honorary Chair. For the center's dedication Professor Marty Seligman, the father of the positive psychology movement wrote: "David Cooperrider is a giant: a giant of discovery, a giant of dissemination, and a giant of generosity." Likewise Jane Dutton, former President of the Academy of Management said, "David Cooperrider is changing the world with his ideas and who he is as a person. There are few who combine such insight, inspiration and energy."

Raj Sisodia is FW Olin Distinguished Professor of Global Business and Whole Foods Market Research Scholar in Conscious Capitalism at Babson College, and Co-Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Conscious Capitalism Inc. He holds a PhD in marketing from Columbia University and is the co-author of The New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller Conscious Capitalism: Liberating the Heroic Spirit of Business (2013) and Wall Street Journal bestseller Everybody Matters (2015). Lyell Clarke is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Clarke (25 years).

As the third generation Clarke, Lyell's involvement with the Company started long before his official start date in the summer of 1984 as a seasonal employee. Lyell worked at Clarke on a seasonal basis through his high school and college years.

After graduating from Iowa State with his PhD in Entomology, Lyell went into sales as the Products and Equipment Control Consultant for Michigan and Wisconsin. He spent five years in this position before transitioning into Service Sales for Lake and McHenry Counties in Illinois. In 1996, after his father's health began to decline, Lyell was appointed as President of Clarke Mosquito Control.

Today, Lyell operates the business using four protocols adopted by other successful CEOs of major corporations. First, define your customers, second, assess what business you are in and what business you are not in, third, balance the yields of the day with the necessary investments of the future, and last, shape the values and the standards of the organization. This type of strategic thinking has resulted in Clarke's rapid growth from a single service center in Illinois in 1996, to the global products and service provider it is today.

The Company earned the 2006 Loyola Family Business of the Year award. To Lyell, the award recognized the accomplishments of his father, John Clarke, II and symbolized what is possible when you have a strong family unit and a solid extended family of employees.

In October 2008 Clarke held an All Employee meeting. This meeting signaled the beginning of significant change and set the direction for the next generation of Clarke.

Lyell and his wife, Kathy, have been married for 28 years and have four children, Katy, Johnny, Robert, and Joe. Lyell's hobbies include downhill skiing, upland bird hunting and visiting the family farm. Days at the farm include playing with their dogs, Labrador Retrievers - Tank, Wilson, and Sandy. The farm is 90 minutes away from Lyell's home in the suburbs of Chicago. The family practices conservation on the property and have spent countless hours restoring native prairie grasses and establishing wetlands.

A day at the farm is not complete without with one last stop to say goodnight to the Grandpa Tree,” a Bradford Pear the family planted at the entrance of the farm in memory of Lyell's father. After time spent at the farm, Lyell is refreshed and ready to cultivate the innovation, unity, community, and sustainability of the new Clarke.
