Graduate Scholarships

The Weatherhead School of Management offers merit-based scholarship awards to full-time graduate master-level students with strong academic and professional backgrounds. Merit is determined at the time of admission based on comprehensive criteria including academic performance, test scores, professional work experience, career focus, and evidence of leadership skills and potential. Scholarships are open to all domestic and international students unless otherwise prohibited by applicable law or sponsoring company.  

When completing the application, please indicate “yes” you would like to be considered for scholarship when prompted. We expect to invite all candidates being considered for merit scholarship awards to interview during the admissions process. Applying early will increase your chances to qualify for the maximum available scholarship.

Except for military scholarships, these scholarships and fellowships do not pertain to the PhD, DBA, MPOD, Executive MBA or Cleveland Clinic—Weatherhead Executive MBA programs. Scholarships for these programs can be found on their individual academic pages or contact the specific program admissions team with any questions.

Dean's Ambassadors 

The Dean's Ambassador award is granted to candidates who have demonstrated extraordinary academic, professional and leadership excellence. The fellowship is designed to fast-track a students’ career journey via access to Weatherhead’s premier relationships and participation in a series of curated experiences. Learn more about the award:

  1. Merit scholarship award
  2. Participation in a capstone ambassadors’ corporate action learning project, working on a real consulting project for a corporation, led by a senior faculty member
  3. Graduate assistantship as deans’ strategic intern, working directly with the dean of the school and their senior staff
  4. Mentoring match with a member of the school’s corporate visiting committee, comprised of senior executives from leading national firms and corporations
  5. Annual private dinner with the dean and senior corporate executives
  6. up to $4,000 incremental scholarship to attend career fair and professional development conferences or career trek of choice 
  7. Student membership to a professional association of their choice

Eligibility for this award includes a GPA of 3.8 or higher, a competitive GMAT or GRE score/waiver granted, start-up or four years or more of professional work experience with some supervisory or leadership responsibility, and evidence of exemplary professional career and leadership success. This award is open to those enrolling in the full-time MBA program. All candidates being considered for this award will meet with the dean during the admissions process. 

Dean's Fellows 

The Dean's Fellows award is granted to candidates who have achieved academic and professional excellence and significant experience in their intended career path. Candidates selected for the Dean's Fellow award recipient(s) will receive: 

  1. Merit scholarship award
  2. Participation in a capstone fellows’ action learning project, working on a real consulting project for a corporation, led by a senior faculty member
  3. An alumni mentor in the area of the student’s preferred specialization
  4. Appointment to a seat on the alumni or student leadership council
  5. Additional access to executive participants at the Deans’ Leadership Breakfast series and special events 
  6. Up to $3,000 in incremental scholarship to attend career fair and professional development conferences or career trek of choice 
  7. Student membership to a professional association of their choice

Eligibility for this award includes an undergraduate GPA of 3.7 or higher with a competitive GMAT or GRE score/waiver granted, professional work experience, and strong evidence of career and leadership success in their field of interest.  This award is open to those enrolling in the full-time MBA and full-time programs of Master of Accountancy, Business Analytics and Intelligence, Supply Chain Management and Finance programs. All candidates being considered for this award will be invited to interview during the admissions process. 

Dean's Scholars 

The Dean's Scholars award is granted to candidates who have achieved academic and professional excellence and a commitment to service. Candidates selected for the Dean’s Scholars award will receive:

  1. Merit scholarship award;
  2. Participation in a capstone scholars’ action learning project, working on a real consulting project for a corporation, led by a senior faculty member
  3. An alumni mentor in the area of interest
  4. Up to $2,000 incremental scholarship to attend career fair/professional development conferences or career trek of choice
  5. Student membership to a professional association of their choice

Eligibility for this award includes an undergraduate GPA of 3.5+ or higher with a competitive GMAT or GRE score/waiver granted, professional work experience, and evidence of career and leadership success. This award is open to those enrolling in the full-time MBA program. All candidates being considered for this award will be invited to interview during the admissions process. 

Fowler Family Fellowship: Up to 100% of tuition and graduate assistantship 

The Fowler Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit offers opportunities for students to create real-world sustainable value by working with corporate leaders and world-renown experts on sustainability at the Weatherhead School of Management.  

The Fowler Family Fellowship award is granted to full-time MBA students each year, in recognition of their academic achievement as well as dedication to the principles of the Fowler Center. Awardees will receive up to 100% of tuition covered and a graduate assistantship appointment at the Fowler Center, including a stipend.

Eligibility for this award includes competitive GPA and GMAT or GRE score, 4+ years of professional work experience with some supervisory or leadership responsibility, evidence of professional career and leadership success, and commitment to the Fowler Center's vision of a world where business can prosper, human beings can flourish and nature can thrive. All finalists for this award will meet with the dean and a member of the Fowler Family Foundation.

Weatherhead ROMBA LGBTQ+ Fellowship: Minimum $20,000 

The Weatherhead School of Management partners with to offer a Fellowship to develop the LGTBQ+ business leaders of tomorrow. In their first year, each fellow receives a scholarship as well as access to exclusive leadership programming including a retreat to kick off the fellowship. In their second year, fellows receive a stipend for travel and registration for one of the national conferences.  

This scholarship targets eligible students who have demonstrated evidence of leadership, professional success, and community and civic engagement. All candidates considered for this award will be invited to interview during the admissions process. Open to those enrolling in the full-time offerings of the MBA, Accountancy, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, and Finance programs.

Weatherhead National Black MBA Scholarship: Minimum $25,000 

In partnership with the , the Weatherhead School of Management selects up to three scholars each year to develop future African American business leaders. Each candidate will receive a scholarship, an industry professional mentor, stipend for membership, travel, and registration to attend the national conference for career and professional development, as well as access to 250+ employers.  

This scholarship will be determined based on several criteria including eligibility for admissions and evidence of leadership, professional success, and community and civic engagement. All candidates considered for this award will be invited to interview during the admissions process.   Open to those enrolling in the full-time offerings of the MBA, Accountancy, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, and Finance programs. 

Weatherhead Prospanica Scholarship: Minimum $25,000 

In partnership with the (formerly the National Association of Hispanic MBAs), the Weatherhead School of Management will select up to three scholars each year to advance the future of Hispanic-American business leaders. Each candidate will receive a scholarship, an industry professional mentor, a stipend for student membership, travel, and registration to attend the national conference for additional career and professional development, as well as access to 250+ employers.  

This scholarship will be determined based on several criteria including eligibility for admissions and evidence of leadership, professional success, and community and civic engagement. All candidates considered for this award will be invited to interview during the admissions process.   Open to those enrolling in the full-time offerings of the MBA, Accountancy, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, and Finance programs. 

Weatherhead HBCU and HSI Colleges and Universities NorthStar Scholarship: 50% of tuition 

In partnership with the Office of the Provost, the Weatherhead School of Management offers a scholarship to candidates who have attended a historically Black college or university or Hispanic serving institution. Candidates with this designation will receive an industry professional mentor and be invited to participate in exclusive access to the Provost Office.  Additionally, some of these awards may include a guaranteed internship leading to a career placement.  

All candidates being considered for this award will be invited to interview during the admissions process and (if also being considered for a guaranteed internship), meet with the sponsoring employer. Open to those enrolling in the Full-Time MBA, Master of Accountancy, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, and Finance programs.

Weatherhead Military Scholarship: Minimum 30% of tuition 

ǿմý is a military-friendly institution and participates in the Yellow Ribbon program (open to all masters level graduate management programs at Weatherhead).  For those who are not eligible for Yellow Ribbon, the Weatherhead School of Management is committed to recognizing their service to the United States by offering a minimum scholarship of 30% of tuition costs.

This scholarship is open to active duty U.S. military or veterans and will be determined based on several criteria including eligibility for admissions and evidence of leadership and professional success. All candidates being considered for this award will be invited to interview during the admissions process. Open to all master-level programs.
