Video conferencing is the transmission of synchronized video and audio between two or more locations. The conference simulates 'face-to-face' communication between two or more participants. This is accomplished through the use of cameras, video displays, microphones and speakers at each location.
Students can meet with peers at other institutions, sharing content like research data in real time. Faculty can meet with peers at other institutions and deliver lectures at other locations, all in an immersive environment that interoperates with collaboration tools.
The ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ community has access to several different types of video conferencing equipment: desktop video conferencing clients, mobile video conferencing units, and TelePresence rooms.
