The Modeling the Future of Food in Your Neighborhood study (foodNEST 2.0) provides decision-making tools to guide future community driven food systems change. Today marks the release of a new such tool, The Menu of Actions for Community Driven Food Systems Change.
The “Menu of Actions” was created by the foodNEST 2.0 collaborative to allow for transparency about food system insights uncovered through intensive data gathering, community discussions and deliberations supported by our over the past 2.5 years. It serves as a primer for thinking about the complexity of the local food system and why it is not producing outcomes of justice. Most importantly, the menu is designed to jumpstart community driven food systems changes.
