JP Graulty, MA is Program Manager of the Community Innovation Network at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, where he has managed projects in Asset Based Community Development, Appreciative Inquiry, Community Network Organizing, Civic Engagement, University-Community Engagement, and Community Engaged Research. Through this work, JP has cultivated strong relationships of mutual trust with community resident stakeholders and institutional partners from municipalities and other public and civic institutions, foundations, community development corporations, healthcare institutions, non-profit organizations, and for-profit companies. JP is also co-author of the article Toward Authentic University-Community Engagement (2021) in the Journal of Community Practice.
Previously, JP served for 4.5 years as the Assistant Director for Community Partnerships in the Center for Service and Social Action at John Carroll University, where he built trusting relationships with people from 75 different non-profit and public community organizations to facilitate mutually beneficial service-learning placements in communities throughout Greater Cleveland. While at John Carroll, JP also co-founded the inaugural Staff of Color Employee Resource Group. Previously, JP also served as a healthcare navigator for clients at Catholic Charities Migration and Refugee Services in Cleveland as part of an AmeriCorps-affiliated year of service program.
JP is a ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ alum, graduating with BA degrees in Economics and International Studies in 2010. He later went on to receive a MA degree in Pastoral Ministry from the University of Dayton in 2017. JP has also facilitated an Asian American Affinity Group for a foundation, served on a variety of non-profit boards, and co-led trainings in Asset Based Community Development and recruiting and facilitating equitable community conversations.
