About the Program

Bring research from the bench to the bedside with a Master of Science in Translational Pharmaceutical Science from ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ School of Medicine, the #1 private medical school in Ohio.

As the pharmaceutical industry continues to expand, so too does the need for graduates with foundational science knowledge, clear understanding of translational applications, broad ranges of professional skills and diverse interdisciplinary training. In our two-year program, you’ll learn what it takes to bring a drug to market, translating basic scientific research into clinical discoveries that will directly impact patients.

When you graduate, you’ll be prepared for a variety of careers—such as a pharmaceutical scientist, quality assurance scientist, quality control scientist, program manager, research analyst, clinical research coordinator and more.

What to Expect

In our highly collaborative environment, you’ll excel with the support of passionate faculty, staff and classmates across not only the School of Medicine, but also our law, engineering and management schools.

Throughout the two-year program, you’ll develop an interdisciplinary training plan through your choice of electives. With courses spanning biomedical science, business management, intellectual property, patent law, bioengineering, biostatistics and bioinformatics, you can either craft a speciality or take a more generalized approach to your training over the course of your two years in our program.

Our diverse, integrative curriculum, paired with hands-on experiences—such as internships and research—will ensure you’re positioned to excel in a multitude of pharmaceutical industry roles.

To support our students’ professional development, we partner with pharmaceutical companies through EnRICH, a career development program designed to provide learning and mentoring experiences that will set you apart.
