Research Interests
My research focuses on investigating histologic and molecular aspects of Barrett's esophagus and Barrett's-related neoplasia. I am specifically interested in: 1) studying the underlying genetic mechanisms that correlate with morphologic features in the Barrett’s neoplasia spectrum, 2) studying techniques that will improve detection of metaplasia and dysplasia in high risk cohorts, and 3) identifying potential biomarkers that will predict neoplastic progression.
