The Office of Research and Technology Management has shared a number of research funding opportunities, including:

The purpose of this FOA is to attract data and computational scientists to propose novel ways to integrate data of different types and scales to allow new types of analysis. It is expected that with the development and application of novel computational, bioinformatics, statistical, and analytical approaches, previously inaccessible insights will reveal new aspects of addiction biology. 

Key Dates: Open for submission (07.10.23), Closing (08.11.23), Letter of Intent (07.10.23).
Awards:  NIDA intends to commit up to $1M in (FY-2024) to fund 2-3 awards. NLM intends to commit up to $1M in (FY-2024) to fund up to 5 awards. Project durtation cannot exceed 5 years.

The MURI program supports basic research in science and engineering and focuses on multidisciplinary research efforts where more than one traditional discipline interacts to provide rapid advances in scientific areas of interest to the DoD. This includes all scientific study and experimentation directed toward increasing fundamental knowledge and understanding in those fields of the physical, engineering, environmental, and life sciences related to long-term national security needs.
MURI addresses high-risk basic research and attempts to understand or achieve something that has never been done before in the fields of science, economics, and revolutionary technologies.

Key Dates: White Paper-Reccomended (05.19.23), Closing (09.08.23).
Awards: Award range $1M to $7.5M, estimated funding 4 years. Expected number of awards, 500.


The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Research Programs is accepting applications for the Summer Stipends program. The purpose of this program is to stimulate new research and publication in the humanities. Summer Stipends support continuous, full-time work on a humanities project for a period of two consecutive months. NEH funds may support recipients’ compensation, travel, and other costs related to the proposed scholarly research. 

Applications for Summer 2024 are due September 20th, 2023
