The CREATE leadership in general, and the TL1 Leaders specifically, are mindful of the need for active recruitment to attract the best possible candidates to the KUH research mission, as well as the need to specifically engage a diverse cohort of trainee candidates.
Diversity is considered not only when recruiting individuals that are immediately eligible for TL1 support, but also through outreach programs that include pre-and post-doctoral peers and outreach to undergraduates and high school students.
Now more than ever both CSU and ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ along with its four affiliated academic health systems are committed to recruitment and retention of a diverse community of trainees, particularly those who have been shown to be under-represented in health-related sciences including African Americans, Latinos, American Indians, Pacific Islanders and those with physical disabilities.
