Biography
Madeline Reyes (she/they pronouns) is a is a PhD student in the Department of Bioethics at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ School of Medicine. Her areas of interest include disability theory and bioethics, clinical and pediatric bioethics, feminist theory, queer theory, and religion/spirituality in bioethics. She received a BA in Women's Studies and Africana Studies from the University of New Mexico, and a Master of Divinity from Duke University, where she specialized in trauma-informed spiritual care. She trained as a hospital chaplain for both adult and pediatric populations and worked in grants management for pediatric faculty before beginning her education at Case Western.

Research Interests
Madeline is particularly interested in exploring research into how biases about disability and body diversity shape the way medical students and providers interact with and treat people assigned female at birth with chronic illness and disability, especially as it relates to diagnosis.
