In this course we will discuss Linda Hirshman’s book, Sisters in Law: How Sandra Day O’Connor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg Went to the Supreme Court and Changed the World. First we will cover the backgrounds of the two justices and their paths to the Supreme Court. Then we will move on to discuss the historical significance of Sandra Day O’Connor and Ruth Bader
Ginsburg including cases where they took the same position and other cases where their opinions were opposed.
