Join Sean Martin for a lecture and a bus tour as he guides us through the history of Jewish Cleveland. The lecture on the first week will explore Jewish Cleveland’s historical buildings, and the second week will be a chartered bus tour, departing from the parking lot of Siegal Lifelong Learning Landmark Bldg. The bus tour will stop in Glenville, Kinsman and Cleveland Heights. Breaks for lunch and restrooms will be included in the itinerary. Kosher lunch, snacks and beverages will be provided.
This lecture is in partnership with the Mandel JCC.
Comments from some of last year's participants:
Don't miss this fabulous tour of the neighborhoods of our grandparents" I went last year and truly enjoyed Sean Martin's expertise and knowledge of Cleveland Jewish neighborhoods.

I was fortunate enough to have a seat on the Jewish Cleveland bus tour last summer. Throughout the drive, the guide did a wonderful job sharing interesting information about where the Jews of Cleveland settled, built their synagogues and their lives. It was fascinating to see some of these places or at least where some of them stood and to learn about how many of them are used today. I had never been to most of the places we drove by and visited so having the opportunity to participate on this bus tour was a wonderful experience.

The Journey Through Cleveland’s Jewish History program is a fascinating and worthwhile experience! I enjoyed a trip down memory lane as I was born in one of the neighborhoods we visited. But even people who are not native Clevelanders enjoyed seeing a Cleveland with which they may not have been familiar.
