Explore groundbreaking contributions from some of the women artists who reshaped the art world in the 20th century. We will start with Miriam Schapiro whose goal was to draw attention to women as artists. Next, we will delve into the 1970s Earth Art movement with Ana Mendieta, Lita Albuquerque, Alice Aycock, and Maya Lin. Then we will cover the photography of Margaret Bourke-White and Diane Arbus. We will learn about women artists who have changed how we see public signs, advertisements, celebrities, and fashion such as Barbara Kruger, Cindy Sherman, and Deborah Kass.
