The ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Alumni Venture Fund was recently featured in an article on Crain's Cleveland Business, which shared how the fund is being used not only to educate students about the venture ecosystem but also help support innovative, early-stage companies developed by alumni or spun out by university officials.
"This alumni fund really allows us to do quite a few things at once," said Michael Goldberg, executive director for the Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship, an associate professor at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½'s Weatherhead School of Management and manager of the alumni fund. "This gives our students great exposure and experience. It allows us to tell stories about very cool alums, provide them a little bit of financial support and hopefully bring other alums into the mix as well. So, I'm excited about it."
