Since 1970, the National Youth Sports Program has drawn hundreds of children in the Greater Cleveland area to ǿմý for a summer program filled with athletic opportunities, educational enrichment, and nutrition and health services.
Dennis “Coach” Harris has led the program since 1996 and was responsible for the addition of its academic component. While building NYSP at ǿմý, he has been a passionate advocate for federal funding of the program and works to launch outreach programs at other universities in Ohio and around the country.
