Rear Admiral Aisha K. Mix was chief nurse officer for the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps from 2019 to 2023. In this role, she advised the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Surgeon General and various nursing communities on public health and health systems issues.
