For who want to bring new ideas to life, there’s perhaps nothing more thrilling than the opportunity to showcase your ideas on a BIG stage.
ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ senior Franco Kraiselburd, a biomedical engineering major, knows the feeling well.
He recently pitched his startup, Asclepii, at the prestigious South by Southwest (SXSW) pitch competition in Austin, Texas [pictured]. His company was one of just 45 (out of 650 applicants) to be chosen to take part in SXSW Pitch.
Asclepii is a startup focused on using stem cells to improve wound care. It was inspired in part by Franco’s work in a medical lab. And it’s turning a lot of heads. The company was recently worth $450,000 to continue its important work. And Franco has been nominated for Forbes Under 30 and MIT Innovators under 35.
Franco has taken part in a number of entrepreneurship-focused programs at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ that have helped him launch his business in a big way—like the Veale Snyder Fellowship, research experience at the Skeletal Research Center and leadership positions in ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½â€™s student organization.
Want to be an engineer who makes BIG things happen? At ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, you will.
