Flora Stone Mather Center for Women Instagram Takeover

Flora Stone Mather Center for Women staff

The Flora Stone Mather Center for Women serves all students, staff and faculty of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½. We are a community space and a social innovator empowering women and advancing gender equity through research-informed action.

What that means for the students of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ is that we serve many different functions in the community. We have our violence prevention program called It’s on ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, which aims to disrupt the culture of violence through evidence-informed education, mutual aid and survivor support. Our prevention education work is focused on three key areas: bystander intervention, consent education and survivor support.

In addition, we have ongoing programming that serves our students in a variety of ways, including:

We also have events running throughout the year, both through the center and our student groups. A few examples of what’s coming up soon at the Mather Center are:

  • A talk with the creators of the children’s book “Ari J.’s Kinky, Curly Crownâ€
  • A Women in STEM panel from our student group, WISER (Women in Science and Engineering Roundtable)
  • A Women’s History Month playlist (can be found on our , going on all month long!)
  • An ElectHER one day training for women interested in pursuing politics
  • A Think Forum event with T. Morgan Dixon, cofounder and CEO of GirlTrek
