Assistant/Associate Professor (tenured/tenure-track) - Department of Pharmacology

The Department of Pharmacology at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ invites applications for tenure-track faculty or tenured faculty positions. The department has a long tradition of groundbreaking discoveries in basic science and medicine. Current areas of research expertise within the department include molecular oncology, therapeutics development in oncology and other diseases, visual sciences, and structural biology. Synergy exists with other interdepartmental research centers throughout the university including the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center and Cleveland Center for Membrane and Structural Biology. The department has vigorous interdisciplinary graduate programs (MS and PhD), and actively engages in medical and dental education. Graduate education is supported by two NIH sponsored training grants administered within the department. The Department of Pharmacology offers competitive startup packages, excellent laboratory space and core facilities, and a highly collaborative environment.  

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should have a PhD and/or MD with a strong record of research accomplishments. Successful candidates are expected to develop innovative and externally funded research programs, participate in departmental education programs, and contribute to service opportunities. Candidates at the Assistant Professor level will have significant postdoctoral research experience with the potential for developing an extramurally funded and nationally recognized research program, while candidates at the Associate Professor level will have a funded and nationally recognized research program. Rank and tenure designation will be commensurate with experience.
